Arranging a wedding or baptism or funeral
Currently, due to Government measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, baptisms and weddings cannot take place.
Funerals are permitted at the graveside or at the crematorium only, with limited numbers attending- restricted to immediate family only. Please contact Rev Chris on 01303 470791 to discuss how we can arrange a funeral.

If you would like to arrange a wedding in any of our beautiful churches in an area of outstanding natural beauty, please contact the parish office on 01303 470791 or email email@example.com. You can download a banns/wedding application form here to complete and email to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to The Rectory, Church Road, Smeeth TN25 6SA. Please do contact us to arrange a suitable date first. Please note: you need to have a qualifying connection with the Parish (e.g. one of the couple resident here or baptised/confirmed here, or parents resident here, or parents/grandparents married here) or attend worship here regularly for six months in order to be married in our churches, unless you have a special licence which are given only in appropriate circumstances. Please talk to us!
If you are marrying in another parish church but are resident in the Stour Downs Parish, you will need to contact the parish office to arrange your banns being read before your wedding.

If you would like to arrange a funeral for a loved one, please contact the parish office on 01303 470791 or email email@example.com, or speak with Rev Chris (01303 470791/ 07526688826/ email firstname.lastname@example.org). This is usually something that a funeral director will organise for you
